I live on the edge of the Eden Valley and the Westmorland Dales,

an area lying between eastern fells of the Lake District and the Pennines.

This remote and beautiful pastoral landscape has a unique mix of habitats,

with rare wild flower meadows, traditional agricultural buildings

and evidence of ancient settlements.

I revisit Dumfries and Galloway regularly, particularly the Solway Coast

and to take part in Spring Fling and Upland Made. The excellent changing

exhibition programme at Gracefield Arts Centre is also always a draw.
